Changing Lawn Tractor Batteries the Easy Way

Almost all types of motor equipment, including lawn tractors are regularly using a system of electric start. Lawn tractor batteries store electrical energy and start using the system to turn a starter motor and the first spark to generate electricity that is used in starting the engine for the gasoline. These batteries should be replaced every so often and it is very essential to do it properly and carefully, otherwise the engine will not start, or parts of the electrical system of the tractor may suffer some damage.

To replace the battery in the lawn tractor, ready to have your tractor, as well as the battery of the tractor parts, a pair of slip-joint pliers and an adjustable wrench.

First, open the battery compartment of the tractor. Using the pliers slip-venture, have a solid knowledge of the battery terminal bolt latch and then, using the crescent wrench, turn to lose the positive battery terminal nut. Also turn to lose the negative terminal of battery die, and then disconnect the battery terminals from their respective offices.

Ensure that the battery is completely dissolved. Then, set the old battery from the battery and then set it aside on the ground. To replace, pull the battery and then put in the battery compartment. With both hands and lift with your knees when carrying out the batteries to avoid straining the sides and back.

Attach the red battery cable (positive) on the positive terminal of the new battery. Then attach the black wire of the battery (negative) on the negative terminal of the new battery. Finally, to close the battery compartment.

Battery replacement lawn tractor is so easy, but always check the battery terminals for corrosion (green or white metal "rust") and clean these terminals corroded with a mixture of water and baking soda before putting the new battery.
